Latest generation housing for Nikon Z7 and Z6 mirrorless reflex camera / system camera, compact and ergonomic design. Equipped with YS optical converter.
Taking advantage of the compact design and light weight of the Z7/6 camera, the housings have been designed accordingly to enhance these features. Compared to the MDX-850 SLR camera housing, the MDX-Z7/6 is 100 g/3.5 oz lighter on the ground.

Ports and gears can be used for MDX series SLR housings.
The MDX-Z7/6 is compatible with the system table of MDX series SLR housings. You can use F-mount lenses with the FTZ mount adapter and ports/gears for MDX series housings.
Compatible with YS/N1 optical converter. TTL strobe photography possible.
The housing is compatible with an optional YS optical converter that converts the TTL signal from the camera hot shoe to an LED light signal. Manual strobe photography is also possible.
Designed for both F-mount lenses with the FTZ mount adapter and Z-mount lenses.
The focus/zoom dial has two gears, one for F-mount lenses with the FTZ mount adapter and one for Z-mount lenses. The MDX-Z7 has been designed with the various Z-mount lenses that will soon be available in mind.
The camera's top control panel can be seen.
A window for the camera's top control panel has also been incorporated. As the brightness of the camera's top control panel has been increased, visibility is now much better.

Designed for f-mount lenses
Two gears are connected to the focus/zoom dials on the housing, and the design allows the use of conventional F-mount lenses.
Leakage alarm unit as standard equipment
The leak alarm unit, which was previously available as an option, is now included as standard equipment.
It is effective not only for early detection of underwater flooding accidents, but also for protecting equipment by checking its tightness prior to entry.
A CR2032 lithium battery is included.
The top control panel of the camera is visible.
A window for the camera's top control panel has also been incorporated. As the brightness of the camera top control panel has been increased, the visibility has improved considerably.

Other Features
The Port Lock prevents the port from turning or loosening and the Port Lock lever is specifically located to avoid being unlocked accidentally.
The housing is equipped with a lens-lock release button which makes it possible to change lenses easily, without opening the housing.
Pulling out the Focus/Zoom Dial gives sufficient room inside the housing to easily accommodate larger diameter lenses.
The camera’s diopter adjustment dial can be operated from outside the housing. This feature is useful when two or more people with different eyesight use the housing.
All controls have luminescence stickers which glow in dark environment.
Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other optional viewfinders such as Optical Viewfinder 0.66x,and 0.8x can be used.
※Some vignetting occurs.When the VF45 and VF180 1.2x is mounted on housing, the corners of the camera's viewfinder cannot be viewed due to vignetting.
Sync Cord 2-pin Connector enables use of conventional hardwired Sync cable (Manual mode only).
Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front case and the other on the rear) to prevent electrolysis damage.
Equipped with under guard to protect from scratch.
