The No Mount Tank BCD is designed to provide additional buoyancy for heavy steel tanks or other underwater equipment. The BCD attaches to the tank via a 3.80cm (1.52) center-mounted cam strap (included). Each end is secured with two 5/16-inch adjustable elastic straps. The vest is constructed with a SuperFabric outer shell and a 420-denier laminated inner bladder with welded flanges.
For non-mount use, the bladder should be oriented so that the slide push inflation valve is toward the neck of the bottle and the exhaust valve is at the bottom end of the bottle. The bladder will want to assume the highest point, so it should be oriented in line with the valve openings to facilitate connection of the inflation hose (not included).
Note: This BCD is designed for extreme cave diving. Although it can be used to add buoyancy to heavy steel cylinders, its use for unmounted dives requires specific training and proper safety equipment. If used for unmounted diving, the cylinder should be equipped with an H-style, dual outlet valve with two regulators connected for safety and redundancy.
